The book “CloudIoT: Concepts, Paradigms and Applications” aims to discuss and outline various aspects together for the benefit of humankind. Last decade is marked by rapid developments in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud Computing. IoT is based on intelligent self-configuring nodes (also known as things) interconnected in a dynamic and global collaborative network infrastructure. The essential idea behind IoT is the pervasive presence of things, able to understand, measure, infer, and even modify the collaborative environment. IoTs are often complemented with cloud computing. Cloud computing has virtually unlimited capabilities in terms of storage and processing power, speed, and is a more mature technology than IoTs.
More recently, we are witnessing an increasing trend in exploiting use of both Cloud and IoT together, resulting in a new paradigm known as CloudIoT. CloudIoT is the scenario in which IoT data is collated from the nodes and processed on the cloud. The results of the cloud processing are then fed back to the IoT devices for optimal operations. CloudIoT has many noteworthy applications for exploiting collaboration, standardization and instilling intelligence both in social networks, home and work life scenarios such as smart assisted living, smart controls, digital health, smart transportation, smart cities etc. Crucial changes are also expected for business and industry, for instance smart logistic set-up, industrial automation, product & process automation, intelligent transportation of goods, smart security enforcement, smart environmental-monitoring, green energy, risk management, pharmaceutics, smart networks, and intelligent controls in aerospace and aviation.
The goal of this book is to gather the state of art on scientific and applied research on the CloudIoT concepts, paradigm, and various applications. This book is targeted towards advanced undergraduate graduate and postgraduate students, researchers, academicians, and industry research professionals. Hence, it is expected that the authors try to maintain a balance between the scientific rigour and practical relevance.
Authors are invited to submit high-quality manuscript matching the scope of proposed book. Similarity index of the manuscript must not be more than 10%.
